The Friendly Gaze
‘Little dog appears alone in a landscape; however, the viewer is part of the picture too and so the situation is changed from the subject of a dog by itself, to the gaze of the viewer. How alone are any of us? Is thinking about someone an intrusion on their space? How disconnected are we today? Doggy doesn’t look too upset to me.’
