Black Cockatoos
Native to North Queensland these beautiful birds are common around Townsville and I often meet them on my walks. A gang bird that stays in large groups, they have look-outs and sound off with a raucous screech and fly just out of your reach. They are also known as Palm Island Cockatoos.
