Cassowary Heads
Popular tourist items as they were portable these heads were brightly coloured in lithium blues and cadmium glazes which made them as poisonous as hell. I was always very careful about recycling glaze waste into bulk glazes for flower pots, but the nature of the chemicals involved required care.
