I needed to make pieces that could be packed and transported easily as I live in a tourist destination, as well to fill spaces in boxes for southern outlets. Transport was one of my biggest challenges and I missed many night’s sleep building and packing crates of my works. Pieces had to be protected with foam, shredded paper and bubble wrap-I am not sure the galleries I sent this stuff to appreciated the work involved, and frankly I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone else to do, exhausting and not financially rewarding. The other issue was dealing with certain transporters from rail to trucks who had no manners, and seemed to make a profession of pig-ignorance.
