11. Something is Always Going On
Landscape painting is only ever boring if you paint it like a chocolate box picture. If you don’t feel it, don’t paint it. If you don’t still find the world an interesting place, don’t paint it. Inspiration comes from the natural world as does the materials to paint it. Quiet places in natural settings are more sacred than any shrine or cathedral.
