2. Marshland along Ross Creek
The Ross River estuarine wetlands are not huge, around 100 square kilometres, and not actually all wet. The marshes as I prefer to call them are all around the area I live in, some of them are interesting (odd plants and anthills), some are dangerous (crocodiles and taipans), and some are abused (illegal dumping and car races)—all are sacred places that deserve respect for the vital role they play in this ecosystem.
