I invented these after I had made a lot of dinosaur shapes, it was the Jurassic Park era and I wanted something new. The shape gave me the opportunity to use various glaze techniques ranging from majolica to complicated lava glazes that crawled giving the impression of skin. This one is taken against an old painting of mine.
