Loud Committee.
The 1990s was a busy decade for my ceramic career. I was involved in pottery associations, art groups, fund raisers and teaching children pottery skills. The work reflected the times, regional places like Townsville let you do things that may have been impossible in larger centres. A s soon as the new millennium arrived the world speed up. Clubs, social groups, and particularly art/craft associations began to fall into he cracks of history, people were entertained elsewhere, better governance was demanded of groups which pushed many clubs into money troubles with low memberships. The old dynamic of charismatic leaders was challenged by people who felt left out of decisions that affected their clubs-the world was changing. All this had an effect on my practice as I moved away from groups and into gallery settings.
