Possum, Possum
Possums are loved or hated, there are several types in Australia and the local species can become quite tame; however, it is illegal to keep them as pets. They can cause havoc in old houses with open ceilings and their is nothing sadder than seeing a dying possum fighting for it’s existence. I’ve nursed a few in my time but I know their territorial needs means many will be killed in fighting for there place. Hand-built from red clay and decorated in slips and glazes and fired in a gas or electric kiln depending on glazes used.
